The second-half was tough, with Hartbeespoort producing really good tries.
With the clock ticking towards the 60th minute, Stingers made changes but these did not make an impact on the scoreboard. Hartbeespoort had more clean breaks and managed to keep the ball alive at the point of contact and continued their offensive. Hartbeespoort continued to pile pressure on the Stingers defence and scored 5 more tries. Despite the loss, Stingers can be credited with staying in the fight to the very last whistle.
“Collectively we realise now that we only have one remaining chance to stay in the top four, we are looking forward to putting a whole lot of work at training ahead of our deciding clash against Alexandra Wolves Rugby Club. It will be massively important for us to get a win with a good result” said the head coach Lofty Tyebileyo.
Tshuma Stingers will be battling it out with Alexandra Rugby Club this coming Saturday on 15 June 2019 in Soweto. The aim will be to get 5 points and make it into the top 4 as well as stay in the Senior Grand Challenge Pool.
