The 2019 Tshuma Stingers Paradigm Shift
Tshuma Stingers Rugby Club might be forgiven for ushering the 2019 Rugby season with a sense of quiet confidence. After all, this is a team that has proven to be unbeatable, having lifted the Golden Lions Senior Grand Challenge trophy two years in succession, both in 2017 and 2018. It is not only the victories that tell a good story, but the dominant, take no prisoners approach in which they were achieved.
The Tshuma Stingers’ leaders contemplate the future of this Club which clearly has firmly established a culture of winning. The club has welcomed the commencement of a new rugby season with renewed strength. There is no doubt in the determination of our coaches, managers and players alike to see the club grow from strength to strength on and off the field.
“What will create the paradigm shift are the building blocks already put in place on the developmental side which saw Tshuma Stingers under 19 team making it all the way to the semi-finals in 2018. It is these young gallants that are infusing the whole Club structure with a renewed sense of focus as they seek to emulate the achievements and winning ways of the senior team,” said the Team Manager, Vusi Barry Nkosi.
